Knighton  |  Tref-y-Clawdd

Knighton is the English name for Tref-y-Clawdd (Welsh for ‘town on the dyke’ referring to Offa’s Dyke.) Our small market town sits on the River Teme in the Mid Wales county of Powys and a stones throw from the border with England counties Shropshire and Herefordshire.

Knighton lies in the Westminster constituency, Brecon and Radnorshire, and the Welsh Government Senedd constituency of the same name. The town is also twinned with the French town of Varades.

Visit the Visit Knighton website for more information about our town, and also find much historical information on Wikipedia.
